Job Posting – Environmental Sciences

We are seeking a candidate with a master’s (minimum) or PhD (preferred) in environmental sciences with applications to real estate and/or a demonstrated ability to apply the field of environmental sciences to related fields.

The role we are seeking to fill involves field inspection and research, with a primary emphasis on in-office report writing and database/information systems buildup and application processes. The suitable candidate will have demonstrable skills in database input, analysis, interpretation, and application, as well as a demonstrated ability to define new ways of utilizing and maximizing database systems. The suitable candidate will have familiarity with Canadian carbon tax credit systems, or a background and demonstrable skillset evidencing that the candidate is capable or undertaking the task of learning such systems. The suitable candidate should also have familiarity with Phase I and Phase II environmental reports, as well as their CESA (Certified Environmental Site Assessor) & CESAII (Certified Environmental Site Assessor Phase II) designations, or a background, demonstrated skillset and evidenced commitment to obtaining them. The qualified candidate should also have a MURB (Energy Advisor) designation with NRCan, or a background, demonstrated skillset and evidenced commitment to obtaining it. The qualified candidate will further have a demonstrated ability to work with diverse cultures and ethnicities and an ability to speak one or more non-English languages.

Candidates meeting all qualifications and with applied work experience will be paid by fee-split (commission). Candidates without applied work experience or requiring designation upgrades will start at $60,000 – $99,000 per year while obtaining their designation upgrades and for the subsequent 12-month applied work experience training period.
